The outdoor play area at Ashé Preparatory sits within the Bryant Manor Apartments building. The outdoor space is barely large enough room to accommodate a licensed childcare play space and measures less than 10 feet wide. Fortunately, there was opportunity to divide it into different zones using mounded synthetic turf, colored paving bands aligned with the building façade, and round planters and plants. The result is a dynamic play area with an undulating trike track and smaller spaces along the childcare façade. Art medallions on the exterior fence create a playful setting for children and the public alike.
